Oil and gas production and storage
The department of oil and gas production and storage explores ways to maintain a steady gas supply while accounting for seasonal fluctuations in oil and gas demand. Furthermore, the branch explores the benefits of supplying natural gas – an environmentally friendly energy source. Research is also being conducted in the area of underground CO2 sequestration with a focus on the behavior of CO2 in underground storage sites, the operation of such storage sites, and corrosion issues.
Gas grids and gas facilities
The staff members of the gas grids and gas facilities department are involved in:
- Providing a safe and rational gas supply
- Planning of gas grids and gas pressure regulation facilities
- Technically optimizing gas grids and gas facilities
- Designing economically viable supply and control solutions
Gas Utilization
The gas utilization department is involved in the development of the economical use of gas. We conduct engineering, research, and development work in the following sectors:
- Industrial and domestic gas applications
- Innovative energy technologies and decentralized energy supply and control
- Increased energy efficiency of gas applications
- Utilization of renewable energy and,
- Further professional training in the rapidly developing gas economy
Gas chemistry
The gas chemistry department oversees a test laboratory for gas and environmental analysis, chemical engineering services, and environmental decontamination. Additional gas chemistry analysis and measurements research and development are carried out.
Economic advisory council for gas usage
The economic advisory council for gas usage, accompanied by the company’s research activities, provides financial support to the community.
