Condensate Measurement

Measurements of hydrocarbon dew point by means of dew point mirror equipment / sensors should provide an indication of conditions that lead to condensate formation. Dew point measurements however, do not give any information about the amount of condensate that is formed under operating conditions.
DBI-GUT makes use of a mobile measurement system (trailer) that is equipped with a Gastec-condensate measurement system. This process is standardized under ISO 6570 Method B. At fixed temperature and pressure values the potential condensate content is quasi-continuously obtained through a gravimetric measurement. Additionally gas samples can be collected and analyzed in the laboratory concerning hydrocarbon content up to C 22. Based on this GC-analysis the equilibrium curve and the potential condensate accumulation for different pressure-temperature combinations can be determined with the software PROII.
