Monitoring

Technical engineering of field tested, innovative gas use systems

CHP System
CHP System

Before releasing innovative gas use systems like power-generating heating installations (combined heat and power units (CHPs)) and gas heat pumps to the market place, it is essential that field tests are carried out using the developed prototypes to ensure that they present practical and sophisticated solutions.

Not every user or gas supply company has the necessary employee capacity to install the appropriate measurement systems. Furthermore, not every user or gas supply company has the measurement systems in place to handle the large volume of data.

The technical engineering expertise within our company, combined with field test data retrieved using modern measurement and analysis techniques, allows us to retrieve the necessary data for a comprehensive energy balance. Such analysis techniques allow the temperature, volume flow rate, pressure, heat flow rate, and the electrical energy of the facility to be obtained. These quantities allow the appropriate facility demands, and required gas supply to be determined.

During the annual monitoring of a specific gas use system, data will be collected on-site by a data recorder, and transmitted to a central control station in real-time. From the relayed data, interpretations can be formulated about the load profile of the facility.

The analyzed facility can be evaluated in terms of its energy efficiency (overall efficiency), in terms of its useable energy, in terms of its ecological impact (emissions), and in terms of its economical factors (maintenance costs, system availability and power and heat generation costs). To gain a better understanding of the facility in question, it is possible to conduct a comparison with a similar facility. To show potential customers the current products and developments, it is often desirable to present the results of these field tests at public-oriented events.
