Gas Utilization - Gas Processing Technology
The conversion of gases via chemical processes can be observed in many industrial sectors: the chemical industry, the petrochemical industry, and also in the energy industry. Generally catalysts are used for the conversion in order to increase the speed of a reaction or even to enable a reaction.
Our working scope includes the testing of catalysts as well as the determination of specific reaction kinetics, durability tests, aging tests and other reaction engineering investigations. With this data it is possible to generate mathematical models that can be utilized for the design of reactors and the optimization of the operating modus. Besides the modelling of reactors, our team can draw on extensive knowledge of thermal process applications – oriented simulation of thermal process plants, heat exchangers and gas processing plants like scrubbers.
Based on our advanced knowledge concerning catalyst processes, we acquire and evaluate complex technologies and methods. Possible applications include methods for H2, power-to-gas, power-to-products, synthesis of renewable fuels and chemical feedstocks as well as the use of fuel cells.
